Kim Terra replaces injured Ashley Williams and enters Tournament at ‘KASAI Pro 4’

Kim Terra enters the World Featherweight Championship Tournament on short notice to replace Ashley Williams on November 10th at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

November 1, 2018– New York City, NY – KASAI Elite Grappling Championships (KASAI) today confirms that Kim Terra will replace an injured Ashley Williams at ‘KASAI Pro 4’ in the eight-man World Featherweight Championship Tournament on Saturday, November 10 at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

“We think Terra will be a great addition to replace Williams in the tournament” said KASAI CEO Rich Byrne.

Kim Terra is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt representing CTBJJA, a team created by Kim’s older brother Caio Terra. Kim is regarded as a tough competitor in the black belt division, having medaled in tournaments such as the World and Brazilian National No Gi Championships as well as the Pan American Jiu Jitsu Championship.

In addition to Terra, the other competitors in the KASAI World Featherweight Championship include: Augusto Mendes, Ethan Crelinsten, Geo Martinez, Gianni Grippo, Paulo Miyao, John Calestine, and Bruno Frazatto. ‘KASAI Pro 4’ will also showcase three dynamic superfights which include a rematch between Vagner Rocha and two-time KASAI World Champion Renato Canuto, plus PJ Barch against Matheus Lutes, and KASAI World Middleweight Champion Matheus Diniz versus the ‘King’ Gordon Ryan. The ‘KASAI Pro 4’ World Featherweight Championship Tournament at 145lbs (65.77kg) will include namnes such as Augusto Mendes, Ethan Crelinsten, Geo Martinez, Gianni Grippo, Paulo Miyao, John Calestine, and Bruno Frazatto.
