Tom Deblass vs. Bruno Bastos confirmed for ‘KASAI Super Series’

Two super-heavyweights will battle it out on February 2nd at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX

December 7th– New York City, NY – KASAI Elite Grappling Championships (KASAI) today confirms that Tom Deblass and Bruno Bastos will meet in a superfight at ‘KASAI Super Series’ on Saturday, February 2nd at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX.

“This is a match that should produce fireworks for the Texas crowd” Said KASAI President Rolles Gracie. “Both competitors are seasoned veterans that always bring aggression to their bouts”.

Bruno Bastos is a black belt under Wendell Alexander. His current Academy is based in Midland, Texas. Some of his accomplishments include: CBJJE World Cup Champion (2010, 2009, 2007), CBJJE World Champion (2008), IBJJF Master and Seniors World Champion (2013), IBJJF World No-Gi Champion (2012 weight & absolute masters division), and IBJJF Pan American Champion (2011 masters division).

Tom DeBlass is a well-known and respected grappler and coach. He earned his Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Ricardo Almeida. He has had impressive competitive runs in both Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, and he has managed to produce high level athletes including ADCC and KASAI veteran Garry Tonon. Some of Deblass’s main achievements include: IBJJF no gi World Champion (2015 black belt Master 1 absolute), no gi IBJJF Pan American Champion (2013 black belt), Grapplers Quest National Champion, and ADCC American National Absolute Champion (2016).

In addition to Bastos vs. Deblass, ‘KASAI Super Series’ will also showcase some of Jiu-Jitsu’s most decorated names in compelling feature fights including Gordon Ryan vs. Joao Gabriel Rocha.
