Vladir “BB Monstro” Araujo replaces Rustam Chsiev in ‘KASAI Pro 5’ Tournament
“BB Monstro” replaces Chsiev in LHW Tournament at the Manhattan Center on April 6th
March 16th– New York City, NY – KASAI Elite Grappling Championships (KASAI) today
announces the replacement for Rustam Chsiev at ‘KASAI Pro 5’. Vladir “BB Monstro” Araujo enters
the World Light Heavyweight Championship Tournament on Saturday April 6th at the Manhattan
Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
“As a last minute replacement, BB Monstro will add more fuel to the fire” said KASAI President
Rolles Gracie. “This will be our biggest event yet”.
Vladir “BB Monstro” Araujo is a professional MMA fighter, a Jiu Jitsu black belt, and Judo black belt.
Representing the Blackzilians, he has won eighteen fights in MMA. With recent wins at Fight 2 Win
and the IBJJF International Miami Spring Open, Vladir has competed at the highest level for a long
time, and will look to prove himself as a contender this weekend in the KASAI World Light
Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
In addition to “BB Monstro”, the already confirmed tournament competitors in the eight-man World
Championship Tournament at 205lbs to crown KASAI’s inaugural World Light-Heavyweight
Champion are: Felipe Pena, Craig Jones, Kaynan Duarte, Jackson Sousa, Tex Johnson, Jon “Thor”
Blank, and the winner of KASAI’s Elite Grappling Championships qualifier tournament, Pedro
Marinho. ‘KASAI Pro 5’ will also feature superfights between Dante Leon vs. Edwin Najmi, Fiona
Watson vs. Mayssa Bastos, and Marcos Tinoco vs. Romulo Barral. ‘KASAI Pro 5’ will also feature a
stacked undercard featuring twelve matches.
